PREVENTION
- Select fresh garlic, a heavy one for its size. Juicier garlic is also softer, and will have less effect on your breath.
- Cut the garlic cloves in half with a knife. Remove the thin green stems may be starting to sprout, since its flavor and aroma are particularly hard and sharp.
- Rinse the chopped garlic with cold water to wash a part of the sulfur compounds that give it its flavor.
- Chop a handful of fresh parsley and garlic. Chlorophyll helps to reduce the impact of garlic.
