500 grams of flour
125 grams of sugar
200 ml olive oil
125 ml sweet wine ( muscat )
grated lemon peel
1 teaspoon cinnamon
icing sugar
2 tablespoon toasted sesame (optional)
Fry the olive oil in a pan over low heat for 5 minutes and set aside. In a bowl place the sifted flour and add the remaining ingredients, sugar, fried olive oil, sweet wine, sesame, lemon zest and cinnamon.
Stir obtaining a homogeneous dough. Flatten with a rolling pin and cut with two different size round rings.
Preheat oven to 180º C (heat up and down). Place the donuts on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Bake 20 to 30 minutes depending on the oven power.
When donuts are done, take them out of the oven and let cool slightly. After cooling roll in icing sugar.
